Now that the end-of-the-year holiday hubbub is settling down, it’s time to look forward to the next big celebration on the calendar, which is, of course, INTERNATIONAL QUIRKYALONE DAY, on February 14. This year will be the fourth annual celebration of International Quirkyalone Day. Last year this new holiday was celebrated in 24 cities, in places as faraway as New Delhi and Sydney, and this year we expect the celebration to grow even larger.

IQD is a celebration of solitude and sociability–it’s open to singles and couples–and it’s a celebration of all forms of love, most of all, love for yourself. No matter how you choose to celebrate, with a party or by taking a long walk by yourself, and turning off your cell phone, IQD is here for you as an alternative to the marketing hoopla of Valentine’s Day, which tends to make people feel bad whether they are in a relationship or not.

To help you get the quirkyalone party started in your own community, we have this downloadable party pack with special QA nametags and posters. If you are considering or planning to host a party, email us to let us know so we can help spread the word on this site.

Stay tuned for details regarding the San Francisco party. We’re still nailing down the venue.
