Happy International Quirkyalone Day all!
Here’s a piece that ran in the Los Angeles Daily News celebrating Los Angeles QAs. . .
I’ll be on KGO radio in San Francisco at 4 pm tomorrow chatting about IQD, and this Saturday I was on NBC’s Tech Now show, but they haven’t posted the podcast yet. I’ll post it when it’s ready.
Make sure you do something good for yourself today–something you love that you don’t usually do on an ordinary weekday. If you are in San Francisco or another of the cities holding parties (El Paso is a recent addition) come show your shining face at a quirkyalone event.

Happy Quirkyalone Day!
I stumbled across this site a few months ago, and I’ve been following it (well, lurking at it, to be honest) ever since. Discovering Quirkyalone has been like reading about a long-lost twin: “What??? There are other singles out there who are more comfortable being alone than with a so-so partner??”
There’s no site that embodies my philosophy of singlehood better than this one. It has nothing to do with being antisocial. It has to do with being comfortable enough with yourself to know that if you’re going to make room in your life for someone else, it’d better be someone you really WANT leaving their dirty socks on your floor and snoring in your ear at night.
We should definitely celebrate ourselves on V-day, but I also just posted about how we should celebrate others, remembering that love isn’t restricted to couples by a long shot:
