International Quirkyalone Day RoundUp

Thanks to all the quirky souls who came out to the SIXTH ANNUAL San Francisco IQD party on Thursday night. Especially those of you who came to IQD after the pillow fight downtown–you managed to book two wacky events on your calendar. It was a night filled with quirky characters, for sure.
The MOST QUIRKY AWARD goes to Scott Cook, who read during the List Slam portion of the night, and who testified to the crowd that the visual format of Quirkyalone liberated him to write his own unconventional book. Truth be told his is more unconventional than mine. It’ s an erotic guide to making out in secret spots in the Columbia River Gorges Area, complete with lots of R-Rated make-out photos! Ooh la la. Now I know where to make out in Oregon.
The party started at Red Hill Books, where Miranda Culp serenaded us with sultry love songs, while wearing a smoking hot red dress with Converse sneakers. A List Slam followed (the concept: read your to-do list to see if it’s compatible with anyone else’s). (The next List Slam will be March 6 at Adaptive Path in SF.) Then we headed over to the Stray Bar for quirkytinis and other beverages. I’ll post more photos as soon as I can find my camera cord (I know it’s terrible. . . I have trouble keeping track of all the cords in my life). Here’s me, though, a pic that someone else took, clutching a quirkytini!
IQD took parties all over the U.S. and across the pond. If you threw a party, please leave us a report on it in the comments.
