ABOUT THE TRADEMARK

Note: Some people in the quirkyalone movement may wonder why I registered a trademark for this word. I did so not to prevent individuals from using it but to protect the concept from corporations (such as online dating services and clothing manufacturers) who might try to jump in and exploit distort the word "quirkyalone" without getting permission. It is important that there be no confusion as to the identity of the source of goods and services bearing this word because quirkyalone is a movement with certain ideals behind it. I've labored for five years without getting paid more than minimum wage (actually much less than minimum wage) to promote this idea and get the concept published in book form. I don't want corporate interests to cheapen the concept or strip it of meaning. Therefore I've spoken with intellectual property lawyers and completed a trademark registration. Corporations, if you plan on doing something with quirkyalone without my permission, watch out!
